Founded by baritone singer David Sherrill, Kingdom Bound Quartet has been traveling the roads singing gospel music since 2000. Without a doubt, Kingdom Bound Quartet (KBQ) is beginning to stake a claim in the Southern Gospel industry. With the recent single, "A Love that Wouldn't Die," KBQ debuted at position 58 on the Singing News chart. And with more singles to release from the recent project "Call Jesus," there are endless possibilities for more chart topping success. Lead singer Ross Carter explains, "That success can be attributed to two things: sound and message."

Sound

KBQ is a Southern Gospel vocal group. They combine traditional elements of four part harmony with a modern music interpretation to create a sound that will appeal to both a younger generation and to fans of the great quartet classics. On the recent "Call Jesus" project, the members of KBQ worked hard to produce a unique sound. Tenor singer Ben Stewart explains, "For this project we wanted to define OUR sound. From numerous talented songwriters, we gathered material that had not been released or had no significant national exposure, paying very close attention to lyrical content. Working with veteran Southern Gospel producer Danny Crawford, studio engineer Scott Barnett, and a team of phenomenal musicians at Crossroads Studios, we were able to create a project that defines a sound and musical direction for the group. The material ranges from hard driving up-beat songs to very tender ballads, but all with a great message. I hope you enjoy the material as much as we enjoy performing it."

Message

For the members of KBQ, singing is more than just a hobby; it is a spiritual calling. Consequently, the members of KBQ all feel led to share their talent through gospel music. With every song, there is a clear message designed to glorify God. Bass singer Chad James explains, "We don't do this so people can hear how good we sing or see what we look like. We do this because God has called us to use our talents, whatever they may be, for His glory." A quick glance at the song titles on the recent "Call Jesus" project reveals that KBQ is serious about that calling. There is no doubt that the message of the gospel is the primary focus.

KBQ will be supporting their latest release, "Call Jesus," on their current tour. You may also see the quartet dust off a handful of fan favorites from over the years. But one thing you can definitely count on, the message of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed at every event involving Kingdom Bound Quartet.
