Kingdom Bound Quartet was
formed in November of 2000 when four men felt led by God to begin a singing
ministry. Although the
quartet’s roster has changed some over the past few years, the group’s
desire to serve God Almighty has only increased.
Kingdom Bound’s goal continues to be spreading the message of Jesus
Christ using the gifts God has given them. · David Sherrill, founder of Kingdom Bound Quartet, sings baritone for the group. David has grown up around music and has attended many singing schools including the Stamps Baxter School of Music and Gospel Singers of America. He has sung with the Ambassadors, the Gospel Hearts, and Cornerstone before feeling the call of God to form Kingdom Bound. He is married to Chasity and has two sons, Dylan and Christian. · Ross Carter is the lead singer for Kingdom Bound. He began singing in church at 8 years old. Ross attended the Jeffress School of Music in 1996. He sang with his brother, Ryan, in a group called Brotherly Love until the age of 18. Ross is married to Lynette, and they have three children, Alyssa, Emily, and Jacob. ·
Chad James is the bass
singer for Kingdom Bound. He
grew to love Southern Gospel music at a young age while listening to tapes
of his grandfather sing with Pine Ridge Quartet and watching his father in
their family group. Chad sang
with Lifeline Quartet for five years and with the Southern Plainsmen for a
year. Chad is also the road manager for the group and is married to
Melissa. He has two sons,
Andrew and Landry. ·
Ben Stewart fills the tenor
slot of the quartet. Between
singing in church musicals since he was a child and being encouraged (or
forced) by his mother to take piano lessons, Ben developed a love of gospel
music that he feels should be expressed.
His music education also includes attending the Stamps Baxter School
of Music. Ben is a former
member of Louisiana College’s octet Common Good.
He also sang with Cornerstone and most recently concluded three years
of singing with Higher Faith. Kingdom Bound Quartet, in
its short existence has already shared the stage with some of Southern
Gospel’s elite groups such as Brian Free and Assurance, the Hoskins Family, the Down East Boys, the
Anchormen, and the Beene Family. The
group also performed at the Gold City Talent Show in 2001. The members of Kingdom
Bound share many things in common. All
members love Southern Gospel music and believe God has called them into this
ministry. They also share a
genuine love for each other, which provides for
a wonderful chemistry on stage and off. |
